Program & Project Management

Program Management refers to 'a group of related projects managed in a coordinated way to obtain benefits and control not available from managing them individually'.

Establishing a proper program management office requires being able to see the big picture which links all the projects that will be managed in said program.  

At the root of a successful program management office, is good project management.  Typical Project Management focuses on activities, tasks budgets, and schedules before first establishing the overall goals; with the main goal typically being to deliver the project according to the schedule and on/under the budget.  We however find that this approach can get too granular too quickly.  At UAO we instead employ a Strategic Project Management approach, which still delivers the project on-time and on/under budget, but also clearly defines the big picture before delving into details.  This approach provides a competitive advantage to our clients, and ensures that business objectives are met much faster.
